TRAVEL

Welll... we never really travel. lol.
I've been to Chicago, Tennesee, Maine, Florida, Pennsylvania, Michigan, Indiana, Kentucky, West Virginia (and of course Ohio), but don't have pictures of most.
For J and I, a getaway that we really love is going to one of our "dirty hippie fests", which in a way is a small vacation for us... Where else can you get nature walks in the woods, camping, a beach, a party, concerts 24/7, shopping, great food, fireworks, fire performers, entertainers, skydivers to watch, ledges to jump off and new people to meet in one place?! It's definitely a vacation.

Hopefully in the next few years, we will be able to take a vacation together. We were supposed to go to Key West this Christmas, but my mom's dog got pregnant and now there's 3 little cute ass Husky pups to care for (they were born Wednesday), and we moved out, which means we now have lots more bills. Oh well, we have the rest of our lives. :)

This place has one of Ohio's only natural warm springs
& is beeauuutiful to look at and swim in.

Jumping off the Ledge
I personally have never done it,
I'm not a strong swimmer & I'm not a fan of heights.

A normal crowd here, this is all sand the crowd is standing on
And over to your left, you have a beach & about 30 shops to shop at :)

MOVIES...

Well, I'm a movie addict. Seriously, I've been to the movies 3 times in the past 2 weeks...
But that's besides the point. Here are a few of my favorite movies...

The Hangover...
What can I say about this movie?! I thought it looked corny when it first was advertised, but ended up going to see it anyways, and LOVED it! Have not laughed so much in one movie in a long time (til I watched Jackass in 3D last week). I've watched it 10 times since the first time, and still laugh. Cannot wait for the sequel!

Mean Girls
Lindsey Lohan before her downward spiral
+
Bitchy high school girls.
=
GREAT MOVIE!
I love quoting this movie, and watch it anytime I get a chance.
My favorite "mean girl" is Gretchen :)

Requiem for a Dream
I think this movie is a little lesser known, but it deals with addictions of all kinds, and I love love loved it the first time I watch it. There is also a book, which is good, but the movie is better. The acting is great, Jared Leto is SMOKIN! The ending is sad, but that's usually how endings involving addictions are in movies & real life, so it's expected.

Harry Potter
I love each & every Harry Potter movie. I've gone to see them all in theatres, even went alone to one of them (3 movies ago I think). My friend and I are planning on going to the midnight showing in November. :)

Fight Club
Love, love, love. I love Brad Pitt, I love Chuck Palahniuk, and loove Fight Club. I love the way the movie works, the twist at the end, and how it doesn't give you any answers.

Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind
The title's a mouthful and the movie is long, but it is seriously one of the best movies ever... I love Jim Carrey in it, and I love the love story it tells... It's just amazing and I definitely cried the first, second, and third time I saw it. I recommend it to anyone who is looking for a good movie to watch :)

These are just the top of my list, but I love tons of movies (including Twilight & scary movies which I decided not to include here...) If there's one or two you haven't seen, you should definitely queue it up in Netflix and check it out. :)

Day of Silence...

Most everyone in Blog Land knows Summer B and knows that she has been having a rough few months with her daddy battling cancer. Sadly, on Sunday, he lost his fight. Today the blog world will hold a moment of silence in memory of Butch, and in respect for Summer.

Something that Makes Me Happy

This is my little darling girl Ruca :)

We love to cuddle and snuggle up together :)

Doesn't she look beautiful after being freshly groomed? :)

Seriously, she makes me so happy. I've always been an animal person, but never had "my own" dog til last June when we adopted Ruca into our lives. She quickly became our little girl, we both consider her our daughter!

Since we moved into our new place, she is a lot happier and carefree. At my mom's, we had 2 dogs always competing for our attention, and now they are both the only dogs and love it so much more that way!

*Well, I hate to cut this short, but if you've watched the news today you know there is a HUGE storm moving across the Midwest, and it JUST started hitting here... the sky is blue out the right side of my office and black out of the left. We may have to evacuate to a basement soon. Urgh, storms in October. Craziness!!!

Hecticity!

Life has been a whirlwind of crazy, hectic, but fun the last few days. In case you hadn't noticed, I like it that way!

Friday started the weekend off on a bad note, and I decided to stay away from ANYONE who was causing drama or uncertainty in my life. I am sick of people calling themselves my friends when really they're just two faced and living to talk about people behind their back. I finally got to the point where I told off five different "friends" Friday. My group of people claims to be so peaceful, loving, etc, but there is ALWAYS some kind of bitch fighting going on & I'm sick of it!

After work Friday, I sold some hoops, then headed to the local Mexican joint for my aunt's birthday dinner & margaritas. Yum.

Saturday I helped my grandma set up and decorate for her yearly costume party/hayride/haunted corn maze. After set up, went home and baked all the goodies for the night with my sister. We made some CUTE cupcakes & crackers & a cookie cake with spiders. :) Spent the evening at the party, dressed as Tinkerbell with a twist :) Went to bed early cuz Sunday was chock full of plans.

Sunday woke up at 7, headed to my mom's to do laundry. The plan with laundry was to do it there, but it's getting to be a chore, so I don't know what we're gonna do. Then my sister and I shopped for a few hours, got supplies for the shop, etc. Afterwards, we had a baby shower which I'm not in support, since the mom is my age (23) and the father is my 19 year old cousin. They work 2 jobs each but somehow still are leeching off my grandma throughout the entire pregnancy and now she's due in 3 weeks, but they don't have a house yet. Argh just makes me ANGRY! After the shower my good friend and her son came over and we hung out all afternoon. She lives an hour away so we don't see each other often, which is hell on us. If we could feasibly hang out together every single day, we would. I'm going to be her Maid of Honor in June though, so throughout the next 8 months of planning, I'll be seeing her a loooooot more & I'm so happy about it! Spent the rest of the evening working on orders, then went to bed semi-early. :)

Tonight I'm working on all orders for the shop, as well as new inventory. I'm re-vamping things, adding more to my esty shop, and expanding what I do.... the next few months should bring great things, and I will be doing more advertisement of the shop on this blog... I just don't do that yet because I honestly am at such a bad point with the shop, but it's all up from here! I'm running low on ALL inventory --- 1 bracelet in stock, about 10 necklaces, 2 rings... I just need to get on my creative binge and create things!

I can't wait to get things back to where they were 6 months ago and get the ball rolling on my own small business. Love it!

Love you all.

MY SIBLINGS....

My oldest little sister, my only brother.

While I technically have 3 other siblings who I do not speak with, these 4 are the ones I see on a regular basis (at least once a week) and love tons. :)

My brother is 2 years and 2 weeks younger than me. He is technically step-brother, but that doesn't matter to me. He's been in my life since I was 6. He does MMA fighting, works his ass off during the week, and parties hard. Love him.

My oldest little sister is hands down the sibling I am closest to. We have lived together since she was born, we share a mommy but not a daddy. Basically spend every spare second of time allowed together. She's 18 but veryyy mature for her age, she's never hung out with people her own age and is basically another member of my group of friends. We love her. :)

These are my sisters who I just met 5 years ago. The 16 year old, 17 year old, then me. :)
Basically, it's been great getting to know these guys and include them in my crazy family tree. I am sad for the first 12 years of their lives without me in it. I always knew they existed, but never met them. They never knew I existed til the day I moved in, in 2005. I love them both and it's funny how we didn't grow up together but we still have so many quirks and habits in common. Love em!

I am a verrryyyyy family-oriented person, and I love that about my life. I am close with all of these guys, as a matter of fact, I spent my entire weekend with the oldest sister, doing all kinds of stuff. I try to go on a "sister date" with all 3 sisters at least once a month, which we all love. I think this week or weekend we are going to see Life as We Know It together and have dinner.

----

I also have 4 sister in laws and 9 brother in laws from J's side of the family. His family tree is even more complicated than mine. He has 3 step-brothers, 3 half brothers, 1 brother, 3 half sisters, and 3 brother in laws.

I'm close with 2 of the sisters, a brother, and a brother in law, but that's about it. The other ones we see every once in awhile, holidays and such. But still love them all :)

Day 30-a picture

Well, let's start this with these two. First, this is the ONLY picture of me with both parents. Hence the reason I'm posting it even though I have that horrible look on my face. Blaming the sun. lol. This was the day of my college graduation, summer 2010.

My mom.... my mom is my best friend, one of the only people in this world I trust. We've been through some craziness, but we've always gotten through things together. My teenage years were horrible for her (and me!), but we made it through with a few battle scars. lol. Since my stepdad died we have gotten even closer. It kills me when she is sad. She lost the love of her life and the person she had planned spending the rest of her life with. She's only 40, so I try hard to make sure she stays happy and healthy and has a long life with us here on earth. I'd give anything for this woman and I am so glad we have that kind of relationship.

My dad.... Well this one's slightly different, but over the past 5 years we've known each other, I've grown to love and respect him as a person with no hard feelings about the past. My parents were young (16) when my mom got pregnant, and he already had one other daughter, so the best choices weren't made. He went into the Army, then married my step-mom. They moved back to our hometown, but the decision was made that we would have nothing to do with each other. And honestly, I think that was the best thing for all involved. I had a happy childhood. Now... I work for him, we all get along well -- my stepmom, 2 half sisters, her entire family, his entire family. I love them all. If I need anything financially or otherwise, he is always willing to help. It's really appreciated since I was dropped into his lap one day 2 weeks before I turned 18 (my fault, I got arrested). It's okay though, it worked out for the best and now I have a dad, even though the one who raised me isn't here anymore. I feel almost like the universe was preparing me for what was going to come 3 years ahead of time.

This small, blurry, out of focus picture is my favorite picture of my stepdad and myself. Taken after my high school graduation, I look a hot sweaty mess, but I love it. :)

My stepdad, what can I say about him that I haven't already said on this blog. My mom started dating him shortly before I turned 6. They got married when I was 8. According to them, from day one we just clicked. He had a daughter a year older than me, whose mom had taken her and left state, so I think I took her place for him. We were best of friends, til I was about 12, then he grounded me all.the.time, but I know it was just because he didn't want me to turn out bad "like he was" he would always say. We were so much alike, same cocky attitude, same caring towards everyone and anyone, and we clashed a lot while I was a teenager. I thank heaven everyday that I was old enough to see the error of my ways and love him like I did when I was a kid again, by the time he died. He was an alcoholic, always struggling with drinking, but the sober times were more frequent and happy than the drunk times, so those stay more frequent in my memory. He was an amazing parent and I feel pity for his daughter who never got the chance to know him the way I did.

One thing I am thankful for with my parents is that my entire life we have always always always said "I love you"... before leaving, before bed, getting off the phone. It was just something we did. We loved each other and always saying it was a way of life for us I guess. I do have friends who don't say they love their parents and think it's akward when I tell my mom I love her before leaving, but I don't care. I think they're less lucky than me, in that respect, because I always know my mom cares and loves me... and for some of them, I don't think they have that security.

I am so thankful for my parents... all three of them. :)

My First Love

Honestly, I always wonder if my "first love" was really love or just some crazy form of addiction. Either way, my first love started 9 years ago when I was a freshmen in high school. He was 2 years older, and we started talking because my BFF (at the time) was dating one of his good friends. We hit it off and basically spent the next few months together all.the.time. He could drive, and was the first guy my mom let me ride in the car with, so we went on dates and all that good stuff. I remember he got me a cute card for Sweetest Day, too.

Up til this point, I had dated guys, but not really had anyone who made me crazy, giggly, wanna be with them 24/7. After a few months, he ended up getting into trouble at school and got suspended for 10 days. At that point, he wasn't allowed to leave his house, so we came up with a "great plan".... his dad worked midnights, so I would go to bed til after my mom & stepdad fell asleep, then I would climb out my 2nd story window, scale down the cable tower, and ride my bike the few blocks to his house. We'd hang out til about 4AM, I'd go home and pass out, then get up and go to school. This went on after he came back from being suspended, probably for about a month. During that time, we had sex for the first time (for both of us). I never really thought about sleeping with a guy til then, but it felt right and I still, to this day, believe it was a blessing that it happened between the 2 of us. I ended up not sleeping with anyone else in high school, while most of my friends had slept with LOTS of people. lol. Anyways, probably 2 weeks before Christmas, we broke up. I really don't remember what happened, but it was akward between us since all of our friends were the same.

Within the next 6 months, we were off & on, and finally back on again by summertime. We spent the next year in happy bliss, spending time together, doing things with friends, basically being a fun loving couple... then he graduated. He started partying like crazy, getting into trouble, he was arrested for tagging about 50 things in our town with his initials, etc. He got me into the DXM which was a drug that makes you hallucinate and trip. We were doing it together all the time because he had a good hook up on it. We would stay out all night, or he would sneak into my house (my room was in the basement now) and stay up all night talking, getting drunk, whatever. He moved into his own place, but shortly after we broke up... again. That lasted about a month before he called, begging me to come back and things would change, blah blah blah. I was 17 and stupid, so I listened.

I went back to school, for my junior year, and he started partying even more. I was trying so hard to stay out of trouble, because in the spring I had gotten arrested amidst our drug spree and spent 30 days in Juvenile Detention. I guess that just put a damper on his style, so we decided to break up about 3 weeks after school started.

That was sort of the end of our little "first love" saga, but not really. He and I both caved at times and talked about getting back together, kissed a few times, just missed the normalcy of what we had, since we had been through so much together... but nothing ever really came of it. I always had him as an option in the back of my mind, until I met J in September of the next year.

I think what we had will always be like a connection between the two of us, but luckily, we are still friends. It's not akward anymore, we both want the other one to be happy. He recently moved to another state, we're still friends on face.book, and I've even set him up with one of my friends. Basically, we have all those memories together, but realize we weren't and never will be right for each other.

Meeting and falling in love with J has been one of the most amazing blessings in my life. When I met him, I was coming off the horrible relationship that was between "first love" and J. The one who ruined my life within the 8 months we were together. I was going down a REALLY BAD path until I met him, and what started out as a rebound fling has turned into 5 years of love and happiness. I am just so thankful for my past, as it got me to where I am today. :)

* DAY 1 *

This was taken during my event last weekend... with my LED hoop which is amazing. I just love this picture because I'm dancing, hooping, enjoying myself and didn't even realize a picture was being taken. Love it!

1. I love dying my hair, it's been every color imaginable -- blonde (natural), brown, black, red, pink, purple, grey (it turned that color after a bad experience with dye), blue, green (faded blue), and random mixtures of colors. I love experimenting, and in the next few weeks I'm changing my color & style again. :)

2. Over the years I've always known who I really am. I think a lot of people my age struggle with it, and wanting to fit in. Basically I have been myself through the years even when other people didn't like it. I love it.

3. I'm one of the strongest people I know emotionally. Sometimes things get me down, but for the most part I just push through and keep living life.

4. I always thought I'd never be like my mom, I just moved into a new place and have since realized I picked up a lot of her habits, but they're not necesarily bad habits. I like a clean, organized, pretty house. :)

5. I'm an animal lover & I don't want kids (for the foreseeable future).

6. My dog is like my daughter. Right now she is in desperate need of a groom, so I feel bad that she looks so horrible! She goes in 2 days! :)

7. I have 3 younger sisters (16, 17, 18), every month we make it a point to go on at least one "Sister Date" to the movies, dinner & shopping. I absolutely love that we're all so close, even though they're all in that bitchy teenage phase!

8. In all reality, my best friends are my man, my mom, my sisters, and 2 friends. The rest of my "friends" can't be trusted with secrets, etc. They're more like acquaintences.

9. I can't wait to get out of my hometown, but I'm also a little scared to leave behind my grandpa. He's nearing 70, lives alone in an apartment and has health issues. I see him a few times a week, run errands with him, and do his laundry. I'd feel like I'm leaving him behind.

10. In high school I was one of those weird girls... I partied, the guys thought I was hot, just not in the conventional ways, everyone thought I was dumb. But secretly, I was making better grades than them, scoring higher on tests, and now have a better job. Love it. :)

11. I was slow to get Face.book. I've only had it about 10 months now, and I have a slight addiction to the Treasure Isle game. :)

12. Some of my favorite foods: Steak cooked Medium rare, pumpkin pie with cool whip, peanut butter & banana sandwiches, shrimp.

13. I can hold my alcohol way better than most girls I know, but I really don't like drinking.

14. I haven't ever smoked cigarettes and never will. I don't even allow smoking in our house.

15. Halloween is my favorite holiday, and also my anniversary! This year is 5 years! :)

*My giveaway is still in the works, stay tuned! Sorry for the delay!

Virus = HATE!

First of all --- Yes I knew I loved to blog & read blogs, but I didn't realize HOW MUCH until last week. It was a week from HELL beginning on Tuesday morning and didn't even end til I went home for the weekend Thursday evening. I got to work Tuesday morning, and our computer was showing that we had a virus. I did the scan and everything seemed fine. Then again it popped up saying that we had a virus. After a few minutes I decided to call and try to figure things out. I was on the phone with the service technicians for FOUR HOURS on Tuesday. I got absolutely nothing done at work. They revamped our entire virus software, installed some new stuff, etc; all remotely, but I had to sit here and stare at the screen because every so often I would have to agree to letting them do something. So then the internet worked. For ten minutes. Call back, and now they blame our service provider. We use a satellite, as it's a rural location, so that was feasible. Call them and they fix it. Again, 10 minutes and we have nothing. I can't do estimates, can't look up labor guides, etc. It was driving me nuts. Forgot about it overnight, as they said it might just be a glitch, give it a few hours. Wednesday, more of the same. We just dealt with the extra slow internet as we had no time to be on the phone. Thursday NOTHING again! Call the computer people, let them get on remotely again, as the ISP tells us that there is nothing on their end wrong. Call the internet people after we re-install every single driver, etc. They do about 20 tests before they realize "hey there IS something wrong, this chick isn't just calling us for hours at a time for the fun of it"..... People, I was about to blow my brains out. At 3 on Thursday, I decided to take Friday off work to get things done and it was the best choice I made all week. :) Now it's Monday, after a weekend of resting, our internet is working fine. Thank the heavens!

Now if you'll please excuse me, I have blogs to catch up on, a giveaway to put together, and have to call around to find internet access for my new house :)

Exhausted

Okay, so my event went AMAZING!!

About 100 people less than we anticipated showed up (a lot of people promised to be there and didn't show), but we made over $500 to donate to Susan G Komen for a Cure! To me, that was payment enough.

The local newspaper was there and did an awesome video interview with us! :)

A new band may have been formed right in front of us. And daaaamn they were good!

We are already discussing doing it again in December for Toys for Tots or a Food Pantry in our area. We'll see what happens.... :)

Even More..

I am seriously SO STRESSED!!!

My night last night was ridiculous. I had it all planned out but then things kept going wrong. First off, our fur baby decided to start chewing the crap out of her nails, her paws, her hind end & more. She doesn't have fleas, this happened about a year ago and we were told she was allergic to chicken. We haven't given her chicken since and now this happens. So we were dealing with her, and I get a call from my aunt, there was a ferret loose in her backyard, and it had been there for 3 days. She thought maybe I knew someone who could take him in. So I went to catch him, the poor thing was SKIN AND BONES. He was so scared, shaking violently. My plan was to give him a bath, clean him up and get him ready for my friend (she runs a rescue) to take in. He had 2 fleas on him, so I gave him a flea bath and put him in a little carrying cage.

I then decided to go ahead and bathe both of my guys, as we were planning to move them to the new place last night anyways. I grabbed my love, Weezy, out of the cage and he was bloody. Somehow in the 24 hours they were in the cage without us there, he had gotten a huge gash on his back. We can't figure out how or why it happened. The other one had no blood or fur on his nails or teeth, there was no blood or fur in the cage, it just shocks me. So I was freaking out, called my friend who has the rescue and texted her a picture. She said it wasn't actually that bad (HA!), and that I needed to clean it and put neosporin on it 3 times a day til it heals. Then that meant I had to seperate all 3 ferrets in dog carriers, clean out their big cage, bathe my 2 ferrets, then move all the cage stuff, the dog carriers, etc to our place. Basically -- it was a long night. At about 10, we realized we never ate dinner and ordered pizza. We've been eating fast food for THREE NIGHTS in a row, it makes me want to puke. Honestly, every morning I feel like I'm going to throw up. Tonight, we are finally going grocery shopping.
J just called, they got done at the vets and it was under $100. (barely, but hey!) They gave her a Cortisone shot and are saying it is most likely something in the air, such as pollen. Especially since a year ago they told us it was chicken. Hmmm maybe she just has fall allergies?! Grrr. So I have to keep an eye on her for 2 weeks, and if she is still itching after that he gave us some dog antibiotics to give her. I'm just hoping it goes away quick!
I am so so so thankful it is Friday. This weekend will consist of LAUNDRY, working on stuff for Sunday's event, and organizing our house. I can't wait to get everything how I want it, to decorate and make it our home. :)

Okay, so I lied...

I am back, posting AGAIN even though I said I wouldn't be posting til this weekend was over.

I have gotten a LOT accomplished. We are completely in the house. We have things semi-set up (ha!). The living room is complete & I am just waiting on my wall vinyls to come in (eeek!). The dining room is currently home to all the boxes that need unpacked still. The extra bedroom is being swiftly set up into Josh's area of manliness, our bedroom is kind of ready (we slept in it last night), and the kitchen cupboards still need washed out before I start putting stuff in them. Basically, I'm just relieved. I also still have to sweep & shampoo the upstairs at my mom's house. Other than that, we're in. And that's what counts.

Ruca apparently didn't like our first night in the new house. She woke up and barked everytime anything creaked or moved. I hope she gets used to it quick. Her daddy goes back to work Monday, and then she will be there alone during the days sometimes. Aghh, I just hope that works out okay. She has severe seperation anxiety, but we have a Thundershirt coming for her to help with that. Tonight we are going to move the ferrets and the tortoise in as well. They're all alone upstairs at my mom's, I felt bad for leaving them last night!

So my event is coming together perfectly. Sunday will be the day of truth. I am praying and hoping and sending positive vibes out into the universe, just wanting a good outcome. If we raise $250 for Susan G Komen for a Cure, I will feel successful. That is more than we started with & it is plenty to make me smile. If I sell even one hula hoop, I will feel successful. If I introduce even one new person to the love that is hula hooping, I will feel successful. Just keep your fingers crossed for me! :)

Anyways, I'm thinking as soon as I get ONE MORE follower, I'll be hosting another giveaway. I don't know what yet, but 30 is a good number, since I was lingering in the teens for 6 months. :)

Catch Up

My week has consisted entirely of:
MOVING, MOVING, MOVING. Packing, moving some more. LOTS of waiting... Organizing. Calling people, begging for donations (recieving many). Making lists. Making hula hoops. Calling more people. More waiting.

*Things are not going as planned with the move. We were originally supposed to be able to move Saturday. The carpet people were delayed, so it was moved to Monday (yesterday). When they still weren't done at 8PM -- we started moving our stuff into the rooms that were done. I don't care if it's rude, it's rude of them to take TWO WEEKS to floor and carpet a home that has SIX TOTAL rooms in it. It's pathetic. I just got a phonecall informing me that they aren't there yet, the rooms haven't been touched, and it's getting close to noon. I AM LIVID. Good thing we weren't like moving out of another place that we had to be out by October 1st, since that is when we were told to move in. I am so upset. We have been living out of boxes since FRIDAY.

*The event is going wonderfully! I am going to have a really good turn out, I think, and that's what matters. With all the spare time I've had from not moving, I've been putting into projects, organization of the event, and calling around for donations. I've had contact with all 3 local papers, and 2 of them have agreed to put an article in the paper, as well as send someone out for the event. It's 5 days away, and I couldn't be happier with the progress. I have a feeling it's gonna be pulled of wonderfully.

*In other great news, this morning, one of my oldest, best friends asked me to be her Maid of Honor. She asked me in the beginning (they got engaged over a year ago), but I declined because I didn't get along with the fiance. We have since learned to deal with each other, since we're both gonna be a big part of her life. I, of course, said yes, and am getting excited for their wedding, which is next June. I can't wait to help her aunt with the bridal shower and to plan the bachelorette party :) I love planning fun stuff. :) It makes me so happy because she is just one of those friends, the ones you can go months at a time without seeing, but as soon as you need someone to talk to, she's there -- instantly. And as soon as you see each other or get on the phone, it's like not a day has passed. I absolutely love our friendship. :)

*Aside from all that, there's been nothing going on in life. I probably won't have time to update again til after the event, so cross your fingers & wish we luck that the event goes GREAT on Sunday, GREAT enough that we can do it again. :)
